Biography
Erika was born and raised up in Japan, where she started to take flute lessons. Fascinated by the beauty of classical music, she decides to come to Switzerland for studying the flute. In 2020 she obtains her Master’s Degree in Music Pedagogy at Zurich University of the Arts by professor Philippe Racine. She had the opportunity to study with renowned flutists such as Sabine Poyé Morel, Andrea Oliva, José-Daniel Castellon and Peter Lukas Graf as well as Piccoloists such as Nicola Mazzanti and Pamela Stahel. Her growing interest for barock music and the historical traverso flute brought her to study simultanously at the Berlin University of the Arts by professor Christoph Huntgeburth, where she obtained her second Masters Degree in 2022.
Erika is teaching the flute since 2020 at several music schools in Zurich, Switzerland.

Playing the flute is my passion. I’m a professional flutist and flute teacher in Switzerland, seeking to teach students from all over the world online.
Having an international background being half-swiss and half-japanese, it is very important for me that everyone from any cultural background is feeling welcome and being respected in my lessons.
I want to make the earth a better place to be for all human beings. That’s why here’s my offer - for everyone, who wants to live a life a bit better than yesterday by playing the flute.
